Project Description

BALANCE ADJUSTERS SETTLED FOR

$6.3 Million

LOCATION

New Orleans

DAMAGE CAUSE

Hurricane Katrina

The World Trade Center in New Orleans is a 34 story office building on the Mississippi River on the fringe of Downtown New Orleans.

On first appearance after the storm, the WTC appeared to be only mildly affected and the carrier, FM Global arrived within two days of landfall to quickly assist in getting the WTC up and running. The carrier made their assessments and offered WTC $250,000.00 lump sum for a full release.

The client contacted Balance Adjusters to review the assessment for accuracy. After a detailed inspection of damages it was apparent that their assessment was wrong. In less than 90 days Balance Adjusters secured a 6.3 million dollar settlement for the WTC.
